Solar control while preserving views at Te Arai

Having already completed projects at this prestigious Northland location, Beyond Surface was contacted by the owner of a newly built private residence. This property has stunning views across the property, past the dunes and out to sea. The large expanse of floor-to-ceiling glazing was leading to excessive Solar gain and hot spots.

The brief was to reduce the excessive heat entering the building, reduce fading of the high-end flooring and furnishings, plus provide added daytime privacy to the bathrooms. It was vital that any solution not impact the outlook from the building, day or night.
